Chuck -E-Cheese!

Uncle John's favorite thing to do is take the girls to Chuck-E-Cheese! ;-)~

The girls had a blast playing on the rides.....

playing air hockey....

drinking out of their princess cups....

and {trying} to play skeeball!

and, of course, grandpa had to play a little Deal or No Deal!

Such fun childhood memories! :-)

Elisabeth's visit continues....

Some other things we did while Elisabeth was visiting.....
We went to see Toy Story 3 at the movie theatre!

We spent a whole afternoon......

playing and swimming.....

in our backyard!

Then, they enjoyed a nice bubble bath!

"When you're smiling"!

Here we are at Cailyn's first dance recital!
Cailyn attends Ann Carroll School of Dance, which is the same dance school I went to (after moving to TN). They have their recitals at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) in Nashville. It's a big occasion!

Although I had not planned it, I ended up being a class mom! Which basically means that I stay behind the stage with the 15 3-4year olds and keep them entertained during the 3 hour show. How hard can that be, right? Haha!

Here is the beautiful french braid put together by the one and only, daddy!

This is the original class mom, Melissa, and her daughter, Hannah! :-)

The dvd players were a lifesaver! (We would have 2 going at the same time!)

Here are the girls all lined up and ready to go on stage! (The rope was used to keep them not only in a line but in the right spots to go out on stage.)

I actually took these pictures from a litle cubby to the side of the stage where we could watch the girls do there dance!

They are all staring at the teacher doing the steps right next to me :-)

The final pose....you can see Cailyn with a big smile on her face!
She just loves performing!

Here is the whole class after they performed their dance! They were number five on the program of 52 dances! Needless to say, it was a loooooonnnnngggg time until the finale!

Here we are, after the perfomance in the lobby, where we had given our little star her flowers!

We were so excited that Elisabeth........

and Uncle Chip......

and Me-maw and Pe-paw could be there for the performance!

Our beautiful dancer!

Only a daddy could do this!

We all had lunch at the Spagetti Factory after the show!

We are so proud of our shining star!

Elisabeth visits!

Cailyn's only cousin, Elisabeth, lives down in Florida, so we have had her come visit us for a two week span for a couple years now! This gives the girls a chance to spend time together since they only get to see each other a few times a year!
Here they are posing at the play area in the mall....we visited this a couple times while Elisabeth was here since it has been so unbearably hot here in Tennessee this summer, and we didn't want to have them playing out on the playground in the horrible heat!

Our sweet pre-schooler and almost 1st grader!

Elisabeth was able to get to know her newest cousin, Anslie! She liked holding her and helping to feed her the bottle.
The girls had fun dressing up and putting on shows for Anslie, too!

Twinkies!
(Yes, Aunt Kati bought them and dressed them in the same outfit! It reminds me of when Erica and I would get together when we were younger!)
This picture was taken just before I took the girls to a children's Zumba class!
Of course, we had to have some pool time!

Pretty soon these girls will be teenagers, asking to go to the mall and pool by themselves!

Anslie is 6 months!

Our chunkey monkey is growing!

At 6 months, Anslie weighs in at....(drumroll please)....

17 lbs 9 oz and 28 1/3 inches long!

(This would be the average size of a 10 month old)

She is still working on the sitting up (we sit in our bumbo quite a lot!).
She has taken a liking to her toys....she is able to pick them up and typically will end up chewing on them.....can we say teething?
Anslie has also found her feet! She holds them, talks to them, puts them in her mouth...you know the typical :-) (Do babies get hand mouth foot disease? I'm a little worried!)
She still likes to nap in her papasan swing...

and sometimes just chill in it!

We can roll from our back to our belly but not belly to back yet!

Anslie has tried all the veggies and really seems to like them,
now we will be moving onto friuts!

This picture shows her covering her ears as she falls alseep, which is funny because she really is not into loud noises!

It is hard to imagine that our baby cakes is already half a year old!
Before we know it, we will be planning her first birthday party!
Slow it down munchkin!

Happy Birthday/Happy Father's Day!

While Erin was in town, we celebrated her birthday (albeit a few days late)
and at the same time we celebrated Father's Day! (a few days early as I thought I would be working on father's day) Thus the mixed theme cake! :-)
Happy Birthday, Aunt Erin!

Happy Daddy's Day to John, Uncle Josh (who managed to not get in a picture)....

and the world's greatest grandpa!

It ended up that I was called off from work for Father's Day!

So we all headed out to Centennial Park in Nashville for an Art Fair!

It was quite hot outside so we cooled down with some smoothies!

Yum!

And the girls got to make some pottery with clay and then paint them!

Here is Cailyn's masterpiece!

Here is Elisabeth's masterpiece!
I know Auntie Erin could have helped the girls make something much more beautiful
but this is all Aunt Kati could come up with! LOL!
